MySA Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. About these Terms
MySA is a division of Mysatech. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you access or use the MySA website, app, features and related services (“MySA”).
By creating an account or using MySA, you agree to these Terms and to follow the laws that apply to you. If you do not agree, please stop using MySA.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a MySA account. If you are under 18, you must have the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and account access secure. Please tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where that activity results from circumstances outside your reasonable control or where applicable law provides otherwise. Do not share your password or allow another person to use your account in a way that breaches these Terms.
3. Respectful and lawful use
Use MySA in a lawful and respectful way. You must not:
-
Harass, threaten, bully, intimidate or abuse another person.
-
Post or share content that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful.
-
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, affiliation or authority.
-
Infringe another person’s copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights.
-
Send unsolicited or deceptive messages, spam or scams.
-
Upload or distribute viruses, malware or other code intended to damage or disrupt a device, account, network or service.
-
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to MySA, its systems or another person’s account.
-
Copy, modify, reverse engineer or interfere with MySA, or use Mysatech’s name or branding to falsely suggest that a website, service or communication is associated with Mysatech.
-
Use MySA in a way that violates any law that applies to you.
4. Your content
You remain responsible for the content you submit, post or display on MySA, including text, images, videos, audio, profile information, links and other material (“User Content”). You must have the rights and permissions needed to share it.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it on MySA, you give Mysatech a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, protect and improve MySA. This permission ends when your content is removed, except where it remains in backups, is still visible because another user shared or saved it, or must be retained for legal, security or operational reasons.
You can remove content or request account deletion using the available account tools or by contacting Mysatech through the contact details provided on MySA. Some copies may take time to disappear or may need to be retained where the law requires it.
5. Content and account moderation
Mysatech may review, restrict, remove or disable access to User Content or accounts where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms, a risk to users or the service, or a legal requirement to act.
Depending on the circumstances, we may issue a warning, limit particular features, temporarily suspend an account or terminate it. We may act without prior notice when necessary to address an urgent safety, security or legal concern. Where appropriate, we may explain the action and provide a way to contact us or request a review.
Mysatech does not endorse every statement or item of User Content posted by users. Content on MySA is provided by its respective authors, and users should exercise their own judgement when viewing or relying on it.
6. MySA services and availability
We work to keep MySA useful and available, but features may change and the service may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.
Mysatech may add, change, suspend or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects users, we will provide notice when reasonably practical. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable law.
7. Intellectual property
MySA and its design, software, features, names, logos and other Mysatech materials are owned by or licensed to Mysatech and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use MySA for its intended purpose. These Terms do not give you ownership of MySA or permission to use Mysatech’s names, logos or other materials outside the service without our written permission.
8. Third-party links and services
MySA may include links to websites, products or services operated by third parties. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Mysatech does not control third-party services, and you should review their terms before using them.
9. Privacy
Mysatech handles personal information in accordance with the MySA Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws. Please read the Privacy Policy to understand what information is collected, how it is used and how you can exercise your privacy rights.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as MySA develops or where changes are needed for legal, safety or operational reasons. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where a change is material, provide notice through MySA or another appropriate channel when reasonably practical.
If you continue using MySA after updated Terms take effect, your future use will be governed by the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, you should stop using MySA and may request account deletion.
11. Suspension or termination
You may stop using MySA at any time and request that your account be deleted.
Mysatech may suspend or terminate access to an account in accordance with these Terms, including where a user seriously or repeatedly breaches them, creates a risk to other users or the service, or where we are required to do so by law. Any action will be subject to applicable legal rights and requirements.
12. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply to you.
13. Contact
For questions, reports or requests relating to these Terms or your MySA account, please use the contact details provided on MySA.
